a picture with an aperture of f22 is a small hole with a large depth of field. Aperture is the size of the hole in the camera that light is aloud to travel through. A low aperture is a big hole and it has a small depth of field and makes the background of the picture blur out. the bottom picture is high aperture the top is a low aperture.
