SHARDAI'S STATEMENT
I feel that my portfolio is very interesting I have a lot of excellent pictures that were self taken that show good art work and that are self explanatory. The pictures themselves say a statement when you look at them. They make interesting statements that help the portfolio widen its range and say something. This semester in Photo class I have learned a wide range of things that have helped to build my portfolio. From Basics to Photoshop I have gained the knowledge of working with photos to transform something into more than what it is and take a picture from good to great.
I think I was most successful in learning Photoshop. It was hard to work with at first but now that I am getting into the hang of it I am becoming better. The hardest thing for me was thinking of a social issue. This was only because I felt I had my own problems to deal with opposed to worrying about the issues of the world.
I do not have an idea of how or where I can improve I can only hope that I gain knowledge in all the areas listed that way I am able to get information on everything going on in the class. I have improved a lot since I walked into the class room I feel that this is a great course to take especially if working with the camera is your specialty.

SCARY EFFECTS

I like this pictures because they were interesting to watch how they changed from a normal picture to something so interesting. I learned the dodge and burn tool because i like how we were able to add shadows to the pictures with the burn tool. I some what feel behind becuase it was just a tad bit complicated. I dont think it was that hard to do after i followed the tutorials.I think photo shop can only be related to models because in photoshop we transform things most models are really ugly and than they are transformed into beautiful women.

FORMAL CRITIQUE
Sitting on an incomplete bridge is a man with a hammer in his hand. He is on his hands in knees. He is completing a bridge. He has a stack of wood tied down to his back. He is wearing dark color which has an onset to the picture. His face is hidden so we can not see the despair or hard work in his face. The way he is holding the hammer appears to show his work and dedication to completing the bridge. The bridge the man is building acts as a leading line. It draws us closer to him so we can get a feel of what he has been doing. The bridge is cut off by the picture so we don’t know how continuous the bridge is and if it goes on forever or if it is just a cut off.
This photograph interprets hard work and dedication. It shows us that we can achieve anything if we work hard

PORTRIATS

I think the photo i was most successful was the artistic picture. I think i took alot of time on this one picture to make it look like it was a professional photo shoot. I also put a lot of thought into this picture. I wanted my artistic picture to be strengthening. I wanted everyone to look at the picture and feel like they were looking at something interesting something that made them think. Javontay my partner is into music the prop we used was a micro phone. THe microphone helps express Javontay's music so that is why we used it. In my surprise photo i think the lights given off by the sunset made it unique. I think that that working with a guy is much harder than working with a female. Guys are kind of complicated and make it's harder to make them do certain things because of their manly values.

THE COMPOSITIONAL TRICK THAT I LIKED MOST WAS MACRO I LIKE FILL IN FLASH. I LIKED HOW FILL IN FLASH GAVE ME MORE TO WONDER ABOUT WHEN I LOOKED AT THE PICTURE. I THINK THE TRICK I WILL BE USING IN MY DAY TO DAY PICTURE TAKING IS EXTREME ANGLES. I LIKE HOW EXTREME ANGLES GAVE THE PICTURES THAT EXTRA BOOOM!!!! IT MADE THE PICTURES WAY BETTER TO ME. lIGHTING JUST SO HAPPENED TO BE HARDEST PICTURE FOR ME. I HAD THIS IMAGE IN MY HEAD OF HOW I WANTED THE PICTURE AND I JUST COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHERE IT WAS ON CAMPUS. I REALLY LIKE MY LEADING LINES PHOTO. I JUST THINK OVERALL ITS A GREAT PHOTO.COMPOSITIONAL TRICK # 7 DRAWING WITH LIGHT

COMPOSITIONAL TRICK # 6 FRAMING

The framing in the photo helps the reader focus more on the main object. the frame can act as a back ground or a border in a picture. The frameis used to help guide the reader. My pictures focus on my partner Javontay he is framed off by different objects such as a tree and ect.. Framing is a unique technique that allows us to be able to focus. I probably could have looked for better framing materials. Friday, September 4, 2009
COMPOSITIONAL TRICK 5 EXTREME ANGLES
TO ME EXTREME ANGLES IS A GOOD COMPOSITIONAL TRICK BECAUSE ITS BETTER TOKNOW THE ANGLES YOU CAN CAPTURE THINGS AT. AND WHEN YOU TAKE PICTURES AT ANGLES IT ALLOWS YOU TO BE ABLE TO LOOK AT IT IN A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. IT ACTUALLY MAKES THE PICTURE POP OUT IN A WAY. MY PHOTOS ARE OKAY EXAMPLES OF EXTREME ANGLES AND I SAY THIS BECAUSE YOU CAN ALWAYS AIM FOR HIGHER OR MAKE SOMETHING BETTER THAN WHAT IT ALREADY IS.
COMPOSITIONAL TRICK 4 SIMPLICITY

Simplicity in a photo helps stregnthen the composition because it makes you wonder or think about on imple object. To me simplicitiy does not mean boring. simplicity is simple something may look boring but really makes a huge state if you take the time to observe that on picture. Simplicity is an effective trick it allows the keen mind to discover and observe things you might not have notice the first time. I used simplictiy on things i thought would make people look at it and ask themselves what is that and i think it worked pretty well. COMPOSITIONAL TRICK 1 RULE OF THIRDS
